Grape Pips Proanthocyanidins (Hypoallergenic) is a patented extract of the flavanol proanthocyanidins (PAC) prepared from grape seeds. These are the most potent of the available proanthocyanidin extracts, having a higher total content of PAC (92%).

The proanthocyanidins from grape seeds were discovered and patented by the same researcher who discovered the pine bark extract, and have been well studied analytically, biochemically, toxicologically, and clinically. PAC has very powerful antioxidant activity due to the component diphenols and related structures. The proanthocyanidin flavonoids offer an excellent option for adjunct nutritional support of the small vessel circulation. The bioflavonoids are the biologically active flavonoids, found in just about every plant on Earth. They are important protective factors and regulatory factors in plant metabolism, and from their widespread distribution are likely to have been an integral part of the human diet ever since humans appeared. This co-relationship with humans over the course of evolution is consistent with the many benefits to homeostasis that they seem to offer. Certainly they are complex chemically, and they can have a variety of roles in human metabolism. They are potent antioxidants, and many also display metal-binding activity, a property which may contribute to their antioxidant effects. *Hypoallergenic Defined: According to Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary "hypoallergenic" is defined as: "Diminished potential for causing an allergic reaction."
