Patrinia villosa (entire plant) extract - Traditionally used for vitalizing the blood congealed by heat as well as clearing toxic heat. Patrinia has been shown to support the body in the regeneration of liver cells, thereby potentially preventing liver degeneration. *

Artemesia capillaris (leaf) extract - Artemesia has been used traditionally for clearing damp heat and clearing jaundice from the liver and gallbladder channels. The liver is a complex organ with a variety of functions.  It plays a major role in the detoxification of both endotoxins (metabolically produced toxins) and xenobiotics (environmental toxins).  Detoxification is a process involving several different organs and occurs primarily in the liver where toxins, chemicals, cholesterol and fat-soluble toxins are filtered from the blood, using enzymes and the synthesis and secretion of bile.  Allergy Research Group's® Liver Support products generally support the phase I and phase II functions of liver detoxification.  In phase I, toxins are neutralized or transformed into intermediates which are then neutralized by the phase II enzymes.  In phase II metabolic chemicals are enzymatically attached (conjugation) to the toxins which are then either neutralized or more easily excreted in the bile and urine.  The liver's ability to detoxify potentially harmful substances is directly related to optimal health.*

*Hypoallergenic Defined:  According to Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary "hypoallergenic" is defined as:  "Diminished potential for causing an allergic reaction."   Allergy Research Group® defines hypoallergenic as "Free of all common allergens", specifically, wheat, corn, soy, gluten, yeast, dairy, and eggs. Many very sensitive individuals who reach to supplements in general, are able to tolerate Allergy Research Group® product. Since our inception in 1979, we have been using only the purest, and whenever possible, the lowest allergy potential natural ingredients.  And while many of the nutrients in our formulas are synthesized from natural substances (plant sources), which as a whole may contain antigens, the synthesizing process removes the molecules of the desired nutrient from the original substance, and in the processing a great percentage of the antigens and allergens are left behind.
