Description of Taurox SB™ 7X With Minerals from Allergy Research Group®:

Taurox SB™ 6X Enhanced and Taurox SB™ 7X With Minerals are homeopathic preparations for immune optimization. The homeopathic indication for their use is persistent fatigue present for one month or more. They appear to modulate the immune system (stimulating an underactive immune system and calming an overactive one), resulting in more effective immune response and decreased fatigue. The major active ingredient in both formulas is Taurox SB™, also called carbobenzoxy-B-alanyl taurine, or COBAT, which has undergone clinical testing. Taurox SB™ 6X Enhanced and Taurox SB™ 7X With Minerals represent the next step in the evolution of Taurox SB™, and initial reports indicate that benefits are equal or superior to those of Taurox SB™ alone. *

Initial clinical trails have shown that over 90% of patients with moderate to severe fatigue experienced a reduction in fatigue after 3-6 weeks or longer. The mechanism of action in reducing fatigue appears to be modulation of cytokines. Conditions involving disruptions of the immune system and altered cytokine levels can result in significant decreases in energy levels. The increase in energy resulting from balancing cytokine levels is not due to stimulation. These homeopathic remedies do not contain caffeine or ephedra. *

Taurox SB™ is prepared by pure organic chemical synthesis and classical homeopathic methods, using no pesticides or toxic metals, according to procedures of the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS). It is not yet listed in the HPUS, but it is recognized by an independent panel of homeopaths under FDA Compliance Policy Guide 7132.15. *

Although they have the same basic action, Taurox SB™ 6X Enhanced contains more molecules and appears to have a stronger action than Taurox SB™ 7X With Minerals. (This is the opposite of classical homeopathic theory, where the more dilute a substance, the stronger it becomes.)  Users of Taurox SB™ 7X With Minerals who do not get sufficient results may want to try Taurox SB™ 6X Enhanced. The suggested dose for Taurox SB™ 6X Enhanced of 12 drops per day provides significantly more Taurox SB™ than what was used in the clinical trial (which was 1 drop of 100% Taurox SB™).  This allows a great deal of room for adjustment when determining an optimal dose for an individual. Users may get results with less than the full dose. *

These formulas are designed to complement standard medical therapies. Although the initial clinical trials showed that over 90% of patients with moderate to severe fatigue experienced a reduction in fatigue after taking Taurox SB™ for 3-6 weeks, further reports suggest the effect may continue to increase with time. Some people report more vivid dreams and a deepening of sleep along with reduced fatigue. Some people report a temporary worsening of symptoms when they start taking homeopathic remedies, and if this happens, they should consult their physician. *
